How I came to be a professional organiser....

While working in various states of Australia within various industries and performing a large variety of roles I learned where my passion and talents lie. In each new position I relished the challenge of analysing my position and then throwing myself into restructuring, reorganising and streamlining my role, the departments role or the whole business.

I found the whole process invigorating and loved how it changed the energy of the office I was working in and the mood of my co-workers. Most of all I loved how it changed how I felt about being at work and greatly enhanced my efficiency. For many years I have wondered how I could market this process and talent I have for creating order... finally while researching and exploring my idea again last Christmas, I stumbled upon this professional title and knew immediately "Professional Organiser" was the career for me!

I launched my business in March this year and began working with businesses (local and home based) helping them to let go of clutter, archive , systemise and organise their paperwork and office space. I loved the work and thoroughly enjoyed the process of helping people to conquer their paper clutter, learn new skills, and maintain a healthy paper process and flow within their business. Some of my business clients mentioned that they are really in need of my services at their home.... this led to me launching the residential side to the business.

Recently I have enjoyed de-cluttering and organising a child's bedroom, laundry, linen cupboard and pantry. What a great feeling it was to empower these clients with new skills to continue "Getting Sorted" throughout their homes and the confidence to maintain the work.

I strive to

- Listen and understand the needs of my clients

- Create a plan or system to suit the client's needs

- Carry out and teach organising techniques and skills

- Provide support and tips to maintain the area

- Approach each new client with fresh ideas

- Help all clients to "Get Sorted" with confidence, compassion and confidentiality.

So there you have it ... the story of my business all told in my first ever blog.
